Kick Off Summer at the Delaware Museum of Nature & Science

Family Fun Day Returns on 6/20

By Leslie Hudson, Wilmington-New Castle Macaroni KID Publisher June 11, 2026

Do you know what kind of dinosaurs lived in Delaware? (Hint, not the t-rex).

Or what kind of animals live at the bottom of the ocean?

These are just a few of the many discoveries waiting for you at the Delaware Museum of Nature & Science. The museum encourages visitors to discover how nature connects us all through exploring dynamic and diverse ecosystems.

Learn all of that & more at this year's Family Fun Day!

Get outdoors for a fun family day, with community partners hosting a variety of activities in the museum’s backyard. Interact with live birds from around the world with Animal Behavior & Conservation Connections from 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. (12:30-1 p.m. will be a members’ only live bird meet and greet) and have your face painted by Dori of Party Business, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Event is outside (weather permitting). Members can also hang out in the exclusive Members’ Lounge with complimentary snacks and refreshments, crafts, and giveaways.

Free for members, included with admission for non-members.
