For more than 40 years, Center for the Creative Arts has been a vital gathering space within the local community, offering quality visual and performing arts programming for all ages and abilities.

The mission of the Center for the Creative Arts is to transform, inspire, and enrich the lives of people of all ages and abilities through the arts. They strive to make the arts accessible to as many people as possible, because they believe that the arts are essential for human development, academic success, and enriching our culture as a whole.

Art Classes: Each semester, their professional, talented teaching artists teach a wide variety of courses and workshops for both children and adults. These courses often include: painting, ceramics, glassworks, mosaics, performing arts, drawing,  mixed media, & so much more! Summer Camp: CCArts Summer camps provide young people with an opportunity to discover their creativity in a nurturing environment that encourages self-expression and connection. Under the guidance of professional teaching artists, campers will explore a variety of mediums in the visual and performing arts while developing long lasting friendships and memories. • Birthday Parties
  • 2 hours of exclusive use of one CCArts studio for up to 10 students (two adult chaperones for kids' parties), including 1 1/2 hours with a CCArts instructor and 30 minutes of family-organized party time (prices listed with each type of party). 
  • Up to 5 additional students: $15 per additional student. (A maximum of 15 students for arty parties and 10 for pottery parties)

    • Pottery Parties - $375
    • Jewelry Parties - $375

• Event Rentals
  • Located on a scenic four-acre property in Yorklyn, Delaware. Center for the Creative Arts offers a unique creative space for individuals, groups, and corporations to host a variety of events and celebrations. 
  • Receptions, parties, lectures, workshops, weddings, ceremonies, meetings, baby showers, rehearsals, concerts, banquets, and recitals. 
    • Auditorium: The auditorium can seat 100 in chairs, standing room is 120, seated at tables is about 80.
    • Art Studios: Classrooms can seat up to 50 in chairs, 35 at tables.

Visual & Performing Arts Summer Camps’ at Center for the Creative Arts (Hockessin, DE) continue the Center's decades-long tradition of providing young people with a supportive environment that nurtures creativity, self-expression, & connection.

Camp sessions are grouped into three age levels (K-2nd, 3rd-5th, & 6th-9th), & vary in theme from week to week. Each week, campers will have the opportunity to explore exciting projects in pottery, painting, mosaics, sculpture, glassworks, fabric arts, mixed media, & so much more!

Both half & full day camp sessions are available for each age group, as well as ‘extended care’ services throughout each week. Families may choose any combination of half or full-day camps to accommodate their summer schedules.
